Shetland Sheepdog

Life span: 12-13 Years

Height: 13 – 16 inches

Weight: 14 – 27 lbs.

Often called the “Sheltie”, the Shetland Sheepdog is a breed of herding dog that was originally designated as a Collie. The Shetland is renowned for its exceptional level of obedience, which makes it easy to train for competitions. Sheltie’s are somewhat shy around unknown humans and other dogs, but this demeanor makes them well-suited as guard dogs. The Shetland’s coat comes in a variety of colors, such as merle, sable, and white.
