Often called the Pyrenean Mountain Dog, the Great Pyrenees is a working breed that is used as a means of protecting livestock from predators. The Pyrenees has a substantial muscular build, making it incredibly strong with a high level of endurance. And while the Pyrenean Mountain Dog may be noted for its watchdog habits, it is a relatively calm breed. The thick weather resistant coat of the Pyrenees comes in all white, with limited markings of red and brown.
